How students learn is integrally linked to what they learn.
Survey research challenges
1. Responses are dependant on students willingness to participate especially if
the survey is voluntary.
2. Establishing a culture of evidence means that students are asked to participate
in various surveys leading to survey burden and survey fatigue experienced by
students.
3. Respondents need to understand the questions in the same way as those who
designed the survey.
4. Lecturers and students need to have the same understanding of the questions.
5. Electronic surveys yielded far less response than hard copy.
