Concluding thoughts
Campus space is complex and so it cannot remain a neglected domain.
Bonding, bridging and linking informed the power of relationships resulting in
the creation of relational spaces
On the other hand the mute space is indicative of less or absence of students
bonding, bridging with other students and mostly linking with the people in
power or with the required resources to address their needs.
One argues that the missing link in institutional mediation strategies for
students is the absence of a shared meaning and understanding surrounding
these issues – a requisite for students to fully enjoy campus life
.
What can universities do about it?
