Moving into the pedagogic space
I am an academic advisor who works with students. In addition to my current role, my
future aspirations are of me working in various roles in curriculum and assessment in
the higher education space and that is why I enrolled into the PGDipE (HE).”
“I have discovered through counselling students the personal and professional woes
of a student transiting into the tertiary sector. The university space adds an additional
layer of ongoing academic challenges. Behind the scenes activities like curriculum
designing strategies and assessment also contribute to students’ learning
experience and holistic wellbeing in the university space. It is this skill set that I would
like to strengthen by enrolling for the PGDip.”
I want to broaden my knowledge and improve my training skills in the library, in
particular to develop technology enhanced instruction and to integrate information
literacy into the curriculum.
