‘Coloniality’ – condition that sees inferiority of/in anything
other than European and/or White: disguised as modernity.
•
Brighter side of modernity – industrialization, individual
wealth creation, nation-state, expansion – strong ontological
density for the conqueror and their descendants.
•
Darker side of modernity - slave trade, imperialism,
colonialism, apartheid, neo-colonialism, neoliberalism and
today globalisation = coloniality – weak ontological density
for the conquered and their descendants.
